Romeo & Juliet now have a couple of release dates – those of you in the UK and Australia, mark your calendars!
According to the film’s official site, the story is about Isabelle (Heida Reed), the daughter of the estate who attempts to escape and elope with Henry (Tom), the seamstresses son she gets caught and killed. Upon finding her slashed up body out of despair, Henry sews up all her wounds and hangs himself over her body on a scarecrow pole. Upon his sacrifice, a curse comes into play where she becomes alive and he turns into a scarecrow. They are trapped in a cycle of perpetual sacrifice transforming between human and scarecrow form with the one whose body is in the form of a scarecrow’s soul is embodied by a falcon. They search for a cure to break the curse.
Directed by Victoria Keon-Cohen, the film’s intent is to raise awareness for the charity, Bipolar UK. You may also “like” the film’s official page on Facebook HERE. No word yet on when it will be released, but the film wrapped production yesterday.
