‘Pirate Radio’ on DVD tomorrow

‘Midnight’ Mark is ready to come to your house…well, your television.  Pirate Radio is hitting retail shelves everywhere tomorrow, April 13. 

Pirate Radio tells the story of a group of hilarious rogue deejays each with their own endearing personalities. They play the tunes that the people want to hear that defined a decade where British pop music came to life.

A fun movie that leaves you with a smile and a buzzin’ soundtrack in your head.

Tom Wisdom’s character, ‘Midnight’ Mark has just two speaking parts throughout the entire film. However, that is Mark’s endearing quality – he is the ladies man who never says a word, even while he is deejaying! Clad in leather pants through the film, Mark is mysterious and known as “the sexiest man on the planet”. Unfortunately, the US version differs from the UK version and a very big scene featuring Mark and his lothario tendencies was cut from the American release. The DVD and Blu-Ray will both feature deleted scenes, so there is a possibility American audiences will get to see Midnight Mark surrounded by 35 naked women in his “love den”.

Pirate Radio, the Richard Curtis comedy that came from the UK known as The Boat That Rocked, is hitting retail shelves on April 13, 2010.

‘Pirate Radio’ postponed one more week

Pirate Radio has been postponed one more week for its US release. It is now scheduled to be released on November 13, 2009 – let’s hope this is the last time it gets moved!

‘The Boat That Rocked’ now called ‘Pirate Radio’ for US Release

The Boat That Rocked has now been titled Pirate Radio for its US release.  They have also shaved off 20 minutes of the original film.  Pirate Radio is being released on November 6, 2009.
